We paddle the rivers, lakes, marshes, and bays in the Washington, D.C., area. We get up close and personal with beautiful scenery and wildlife, we see things from the water that are not visible any other way, and we enjoy the special happiness -- a magical combination of tranquility and exhilaration -- that comes from being on the water. Aloha! The Philadelphia Outrigger Canoe Club has been paddling in local and regional waterways since 1995. Our canoes are among the first outriggers ever on the East Coast. Our team consists novices to experienced paddlers. While our skills vary, we all share a passion and a respect for this unique water sport.

This is a group for hikers of all levels. We have novice hikes for beginners, which are paced for everyone's needs, under 3 miles, and easy terrain. We also have weekly hikes that are moderate or strenuous for more experienced hikers. The hikes will be labeled as "easy" (mainly flat, walking), "moderate" (a mix of some hills and flat trail) or "strenuous/difficult" (steep hills or rock scrambling).
